We consider the properties of being semiprimitive and semiperfect for rings of Laurent series and give some sufficient conditions for these rings to be primitive. The main results are the following theorems: Theorem 1. If \(R\) is a \(\varphi\)-prime right Goldie ring, then the ring \(R((x,\varphi))\) of skew Laurent series is semiprimitive. Theorem 3. If a ring \(R\) is semiperfect, then the ring \(R((x,\varphi))\) is also semiperfect.
