The author investigates the existence of a basis of pseudoconvex neighborhoods for \(\overline\Omega_1\cup \overline\Omega_2\), where \(\Omega_1\) and \(\Omega_2\) are open subsets in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) so that \(\overline\Omega_1\cap \overline\Omega_2= \{0\}\). Positive results are given for strictly convex sets, and counterexamples are shown for strictly pseudoconvex sets (even for convex ones).
