The author considers a framework, based on general relativity and possessing intrinsic electric and magnetic currents with massive photons. It is shown that no massive photons are allowed in the absence of fields created by magnetic changes. By deriving the equation of motion of an (either magnetically or electrically) charged test particle, it is shown that two magnetic monopoles interact by means of massive photons. Obtaining a static spherically symmetric solution for vacuum spacetime, by a choice of parameters, the author obtains two alternative solutions, either the Reissner-Nordstrøm for an electric monopole, or the metric and magnetic field of a magnetic monopole. This means that one cannot have both an electric and a magnetic charge located in one point.
