This paper employs a general approach to handle wave phenomena in layered media. Namely, the authors study the low-frequency interference which occurs when Love waves are produced in a thin elastic layer. Together with the theory, some computational procedures are presented. The main conclusion is that the presence of the layer leads to the distortion of the signal sent inside the solid medium. Numerical results are represented by many graphs.
