The author gives an interesting combinatorial characterization for the codings of 3-interval exchanges. He uses results from his paper [DID] which has appeared [\textit{G. Didier}, Acta. Arith. 85, 157-177 (1998; see the preceding review)]. Note that the title of reference [KEA] is misspelled [\textit{M. S. Keane}, Interval exchange transformations, Math. Z. 141, 25-31 (1975; Zbl 0288.28020)].
