The super-Reshetikhin-Semenov-Tian-Shansky algebra, abbreviated super-RS algebra, introduced by one of the authors [\textit{Y.-Z. Zhang}, J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. (to appear)] is shown to admit a realization in quantum affine superalgebras. The mapping is defined by use of a suitable Gauss decomposition. The case \(U_q[\text{osp}(1| 2)^{(1)}]\) is discussed in some detail.
