The author proposes invariants of femtosecond pulse propagation in photonic crystals. The process is described by the nonlinear Schrödinger equations with a periodically varying refractive index taken into account. The invariants written out in the paper can be used to design conservative finite-difference schemes, to obtain a priori estimates for solutions to the original equations, and to find their soliton solutions.
