The authors introduce a new condition equivalent to the 2-regularity condition. A modification involving no orthoprojector is proposed for the 2-regularity construction. On this basis, modified 2-factor methods are suggested for solving systems of nonlinear equations. The methods have a quadratic rate of convergence in the singular case.
