This paper is concerned with grid approximation of boundary value problem for the stationary one-speed transport equation in an optically thick layer corresponding to the well-known conservative schemes of the second and fourth order of accuracy. The boundary layer method developed in the singular perturbation theory is used to construct Coarse-grid approximations in problems with smooth source terms.
