This paper is devoted to the equivalence of integral and differential forms of the equation of neutron propagation in one-component infinite media. The formulation of initial conditions is discussed, and the statement of the general mathematical problem of neutron propagation in infinite media is refined. A theorem establishing the equivalence of solutions to integral and differential forms of the propagation equation is stated.
