The paper deals with spatial decay of solutions of a class of reaction-diffusion equations. To this end the authors obtain exponential decay of the solutions in the stationary case. In the general case, it is proved decay which is as fast as exponential of a quadratic polynomial. The main tool of the authors is a maximum principle combined effectively with decay estimates for linear problems.
