The paper deals with a very specific (and simple) reaction-diffusion system which describes some medical phenomena. The authors derive \(L^p\) a priori estimates for the strong solutions which, due to the simple structure of the system, follow immediately from the respective estimates for strong solutions to parabolic equations. These estimates are applied in proving convergence of a discrete scheme for the problem under consideration.
