The paper under review is a survey on the exceptional sets for holomorphic mappings. Let \(F:\mathbb{C}^m\to\mathbb{C}^n\) be nondegenerate holomorphic mappings and \(B(0,r)\) the Euclidean ball at the center origin and radius \(r\). Set \(X_a= F^{-1}(a)\) for \(a\in \mathbb{C}^n\). Then problems on estimates for upper bounds for the area \(X_a\cap B(0,r)\) and related topics are dealt with.
