It is proved that the bilateral shift acting on the space \(\ell_{\omega}^{2}(\mathbb Z)\) is hyper-reflexive if the weight sequence satisfies the condition \(1\leq\omega(n)\leq C(1+| n| )^{\alpha}\) for all \(n\in \mathbb Z\).
