The paper is a study of the effect of mappings and some decompositions of continuity on nearly Lindelöf spaces. The main result is that the image of a nearly Lindelöf space under an \(S\)-continuous function is nearly Lindelöf. Throughout the paper the authors have insisted on elementary techniques to prove some interesting results. The proofs of the results are fairly general in nature.
