In this paper the authors prove two generalizations of the Ky Fan minimax inequality. Their approach is based on the set-valued analysis on real normed spaces. As applications, the authors provide proofs of Schauder's and Kakutani's fixed-point theorems. They also solve a variational inclusion problem for set-valued maps and a differential inclusion problem involving the contingent derivative.
