In the present paper, the new notion of joint formal normality for a class of unbounded linear operators on a separable Hilbert space is introduced . The author investigates some relations between the new notion, joint subnormality and hyponormality. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a tuple of unbounded operators with invariant domain to be jointly subnormal are presented.
