Explicit approximate solutions for the Bryan-Pidduck model, which is the Boltzmann equation for rough spheres, are constructed. The only explicitly known exact solutions for this model are Maxwellians, which are steady-state solutions. In order to describe the evolution of the system in some physical cases, the author defines the notion of approximate solution and constructs explicitly such approximate solution as a two term linear combination of Maxwellians with time dependent coefficients.
