The subject of the paper is the problem of attitude control for an under-actuated satellite. A global state feedback stabilizing scheme is proposed that is based on the fast path generation algorithm. To construct this algorithm, the problem of generation of an admissible attractive trajectory is reduced to a nonlinear system of two implicit equations. Then, to avoid difficulties connected with possible non-existence of solutions, the problem for solving this system is replaced by an optimization problem. The thus obtained trajectory is tracked using a dynamic state discontinuous feedback. When this trajectory becomes irrelevant, a new reference trajectory should be computed and chosen for tracking. Some simulations are presented to test the robustness and efficiency of the proposed approach.
