The author points out some gaps in her papers \textit{O. A. Ladyzhenskaya} [Vestn. Leningr. Univ. 13, No.~19, (Ser. Mat. Mekh. Astron. No. 4), 9--18 (1958; Zbl 0099.07803)] and [Sov. Phys., Dokl. 4, 68--70 (1959); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 124, 353--355 (1959; Zbl 0096.41302)]. Properties of certain approximation for the Navier-Stokes equations are discussed in the first of the papers. The existence of stationary flows of viscous incompressible fluids in unbounded 3D domains is investigated in the second paper. The way of closing the gaps is given in the reviewed article.
