The Michelson-Chapman-Jouget detonation (Q1405899)

The author examines Michelson-Chapman-Jouguet detonation model in a homogeneous explosive substance (ES). This classical model represents a shock wave with a finished reaction in it. In the framework of this model, the equivalence of Chapman and Jouguet hypotheses is proved in the case when the detonation products obey the equation of state of nonideal mixture of real gases. The author also studies the influence of initial ES composition and thermophysical characteristics of flow components on detonation in a mixture of polytropic gases.
