The author obtains some interesting characterizations of the affine images of regular pentagons and pentagrams by concurrences of certain median lines of pentagons in the plane. These characterizations are strongly related to the number \(\sqrt 5\) and the golden section. Various figures illustrate the proofs and results in a geometrically nice manner.
