In the same volume that this paper was published, Mario Bunge published a paper under the title ``Twenty-Five Centuries of Quantum Physics'', where he claims that quantum physics is twenty-five centuries old, and not just one. Here the author disagrees with Bunge's point. According to Pauri, ``the discovery of the \textit{quantum} of \textit{action} (Planck, 1900) and the formulation of quantum theory represent a milestone of absolute novelty in the history of knowledge and, in particular, in the history of atomism''.
