The author makes a brief and informal (actually, not rigorous!) review on the concept of quanton, with the main goal of contributing to clarifying and simplifying the teaching of quantum physics. The term ``quanton'' is a neologism (among others advocated by the author) to replace the usual thinking about the wave-particle duality. In this sense, quantum objects (like electrons, photons, etc) are neither particles, nor waves, but quantons.
