Extremal odd unimodular lattices in dimensions 44, 46 and 47 are constructed by construction A from self-dual \({\mathbb{Z}}_6\)-codes of length 44, \({\mathbb{Z}}_4\)-codes of length 46, 47, respectively. The latter codes are obtained by considering subtracting from the extended quadratic residue \({\mathbb{Z}}_4\)-code of length 48, and the former codes are obtained by subtracting from an extremal type II \({\mathbb{Z}}_6\)-code of length 48.
