A linear equation of elliptic type, with mixed boundary conditions is considered. The coercivity conditions for the coefficients is related with a function \(\nu(x)\). Regularity results are given for a class of degenerate problems, when \(\nu(x)\) belongs to a Marcinkiewicz space. The main point is related with a comparison result, by using some ``symmetrized'' Dirichlet problem. The result is also related with the regularity of the domain where the initial equation is considered.
