The author suggests an improved iterative method (generalised Hermite interpolation) for calculating approximate solutions to nonlinear algebraic equations with increased order of local convergence. Best coefficients in regards to the order of convergence are determined through symbolic computation. Computational costs are decreased by use of multi precision arithmetics. The theory is illustrated by high precision examples.
