Consider the neutral differential equation of the form \[ \dot{x}( t) -a( t) \dot{x}( g( t) ) +b( t) x(h( t) )=0, \] with \(0\leq a( t) <1,\) \(b( t) \geq 0,\) \(g( t) \leq t,\) \(h( t) \leq t.\) A comparison theorem and several nonoscillation and oscillation conditions are presented. Two examples illustrating the results are given.
