In this article the authors establish transformations of poly-basic bilateral hypergeometric series in terms of a similar series, not necessarily having the same number of bases. Several examples of bi-basic bilateral transformations are given. These transformations give rise to product transformation formulae, which for special values of the parameters lead to special transformation formulae for basic hypergeometric series.
