The authors introduce a generalization of convexity, the so-called BF-type I functions for the continuous case. They develop optimality and duality results for multiobjective variational problems involving arbitrary norms in the objectives as well as in the constraints. Sufficient conditions for both efficiency and proper efficiency are presented.
