The asymptotic behavior of the Hermite--Padé polynomials (type I) associated with the exponential function \(( e^w)\) is studied and the convergence of quadratic approximants is investigated in this paper. The theorems which establish the asymptotic distributions of the zeros and the \((n)th\) root asymptotic behavior of the polynomials \((P_n,Q_n,R_n)\) and the remainder term \((E_n)\) are proved.
