The authors study averaged equations of third order of accuracy with respect to a small parameter \(\varepsilon\), which describe propagation of long elastic waves along cylindrical rod, homogeneous in length but with anisotropic cross-section. Here \(\varepsilon\) is the ratio of rod thickness to a typical wavelength. Some particular solutions of averaged equations are discussed.
