Two coincidence theorems of Vietoris maps (Q1422326)

The authors prove a series of interesting fixed point and coincidence theorems. They use powerful mathematical tools, such as homology theory and partitions of unity. We remark that by using Nikaidô's coincidence theorem about Vietoris maps, they prove a fixed point theorem which unifies many well-known fixed point theorems, such as Brouwer's fixed point theorem, Kakutani's fixed point theorem, Browder's fixed point theorem and Fan-Glicksberg's fixed point theorem. They also deduce a generalization of Górniewicz' fixed point theorem and two versions of Nikaidô's coincidence theorem. The style of the paper is clear and the arguments are nice.
