On conservation laws and boundary conditions for ``short waves'' equation (Q1424097)

The author studies local conservation laws for the equation of short waves \(2w_{xt}-2(x+w_x)w_{xx}+w_{yy}+2kw_x=0\), which can be written in the form of a variational problem. The author investigates an infinite symmetry group of the equation and generates a finite number of corresponding conservation laws together with appropriate boundary conditions at infinity.
