Jansen-Hess operator is an approximate operator which is derived from a Foldy-Woutheysen-type transformation scheme which is used to describe heavy atoms. For the single-particle Coulomb model, the authors have proved that their energy and thus the resulting self-adjoint operator and its spectrum, is positive for \(z\leq 114\).
