The authors compute divergence terms in the super trace for the twisted de Rham complex for a closed Riemannian manifold using invariance theory. This twisted de Rham complex appeared in [\textit{E. Witten}, J. Differential Geometry, 17, 661--692 (1982; Zbl 0499.53056)]. In their previous paper [Divergence terms in the supertrace heat asymptotics for the de Rham complex on a manifold with boundary, arXiv:math-ph/02110220)] the authors studied the case of an odd-dimensional manifold with boundary.
