The authors explain the concept of random dynamical systems and the concept of skew product flows as special cases of the new concept of nonautonomous dynamical systems. They give quite a series of examples which illustrate the gap between these both concepts. Many problems on the similarities and differences are widly discussed and a lot of unresolved questions are disclosed. The list of references contains 113 items.
