The problem on compression of a long thin strip by parallel rigid plates is solved for the case when the material density is changed due to either the all-round pressure or the intensity of strain velocities. It is shown that in the solution decomposition by compressibility small parameter the stress state coincides up to the parameter square with the classical cycloidal one. The velocity field and density are calculated in the first approximation. The obtained solution is compared with the classical one.
