The author establishes the fact that the Karoubi construction [\textit{M. Karoubi}, ``Homologie cyclique et \(K\)--théorie'', Astérisque 149 (1987; Zbl 0648.18008)] of characteristic classes yields nontrivial result for the case of universal differential calculus of algebra \(\mathbb C[\mathbb Z_3]\).
