Various sufficient conditions are given for oscillatory behavior of the neutral nonlinear difference equation of even order \[ \Delta^{m-1}(a_n\Delta(x_n+\varphi(n,\tau_n))) + q_nf(x_{g_n}) \] with \(m\) even, \(\Delta x_n=x_{n+1}-x_n\), \(n\geq n_0\), \(\tau_n\) and \(g_n\) being nondecreasing nonnegative sequences of integers, \(\tau_n\leq n\), \(g_n\leq n\), \(\lim_{n\rightarrow\infty}\tau_n = \lim_{n\rightarrow\infty}g_n = \infty\).
