On the two point Padé table for a distribution (Q1425664)

The authors obtain some generalized recurrence relations between the denominators of the Padé approximants and two point Padé approximants that are derived from two series expansions \(\sum_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{\mu_k}{z^{k+1}}\) and \(\sum_{k=1}^{\infty}(-\mu_{-k})z^{k-1}\), where \(\mu _k\) are the real numbers. Two cases are studied: one where all coefficients \(\mu_k\) are the moments of some distribution, and the second where \(\mu_k\) with \(k<0\) are not. Some properties of zeros of denominators of Padé approximants derived from a ``moment'' series are described and an analogue of the interlacing property is proved.
