The author investigates the stabilization of a linear parabolic equation defined in the extension of a bounded domain. It is proved that for any \(k>0\) and for any initial datum there exists an appropriate boundary value of the state, which is in fact the control, such that the solution of this boundary value problem tends to zero, with the rate \(t^{-k}\), as \(t\to+\infty\).
