Various theorems are proved concerning sufficient conditions for the complete convergence of sums (or random sums) of Banach space-valued \({\mathcal L}^p\)-mixingales. These results generalize and extend some of the author's earlier work [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 24, 737--747 (2000; Zbl 0972.60016)] and suggest easier assumptions. In a particular setup, some necessary conditions are also discussed.
