The author studies large size discrete velocity models in a half-plane for both single gas and binary mixtures. One of the main difficulties in the theory of discrete velocity models is the existence of spurious, non-physical, invariants. To avoid this, many authors consider additional collisions which make the discrete velocity models too distinct from its continuous counterpart, the Boltzmann equation. In many cases also the models have no constraints in the plane for the flow. In the presented paper the author constructs half-space models with light particles of mass 1 and heavy particles of mass \(M=3,3/2,4\), with only binary collisions, tiling all the integer coordinates, and which has no spurious invariants.
