The authors establish a stability result for a class of hemivariational inequalities involving a term with a nonlinear monotone operator in addition to the integral of the generalized directional derivative of a locally Lipschitz function. The rate of convergence of solutions is estimated with respect to the rate of convergence for the data entering the problem. It is explained that the projection method used in the stability analysis of variational inequalities is not applicable in the case of hemivariational inequalities.
