The investigation of stability of two-dimensional discrete systems leads to the verification of whether \(\sum_{i=0}^{n_1}\sum_{k=0}^{n_2}d_{i,k}z_1^iz_2^k\neq 0\) for all complex \(| z_1| \geq 1\) and \(| z_2| \geq 1\). This paper proposes a new test for the case of real coefficients \(d_{i,k}\) that reduces the overall cost of computation.
