The paper is concerned with the second order difference equations of the form \[ \Delta (a(n) \Delta (x(n) - px(n-\tau )))+f(n,x(\sigma (n)))=0, \] where \(\Delta x(n)=x(n+1) -x(n)\), \(p>0\). Some sufficient conditions of the oscillation are provided for such equations by establishing some Riccati type difference inequalities. Examples are given to explain the results.
