The authors discuss the application of the method of fundamental solution (MFS) to elliptic boundary value problems. For the special case of the Dirichlet problem for a second-order elliptic equation on a two-dimensional disk, they propose an algorithm based on the linear least squares method combined with the method of fundamental solution. Numerical results are presented.
