The author investigates the algebraic structure of standard homogeneous Einstein manifolds. Imposing some algebraic constraints on the standard homogeneous Einstein space he classifies homogeneous Einstein metrics of a certain form. The results obtained give various examples of noncompact homogeneous spaces not admitting homogeneous Einstein metrics.
