The author considers a Lotka-Volterra system and derives an asymptotic expression for the period of each solution for great values of the so-called energy characterizing the orbits. To do so, the author realizes a partition of each (periodic) orbit to a further calculation of the averaged time necessary to pass through each part. Several calculations and results about inverse functions via Taylor series are taken into account.
